TevaPatra is operated by TEVAPATRA LLC, a North Carolina limited liability company, 4030 Wake Forest Road, Ste 349, Raleigh, NC 27609, USA ("TevaPatra", "we", "us").

Please read section 15 carefully. If you live in the United States, it requires disputes to be resolved by individual arbitration and waives class actions, unless you opt out within 30 days.

1. Agreement

By creating an account, chatting with TevaPatra or making a purchase, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. An entertainment and self-reflection service

TevaPatra is an entertainment and self-reflection service. Readings are interpretations of Vedic astrology based on astronomical calculations of your birth chart. Astrology is not a science, and readings are not statements of fact or predictions you should rely on.

Nothing in the Service is medical, psychological, legal, financial, investment, tax or any other professional advice, and using TevaPatra does not create a professional, advisory or fiduciary relationship between you and us. You are solely responsible for the decisions and actions you take in reliance on the Service. Do not make important decisions based on a reading; consult a qualified professional instead.

3. AI-generated content

Readings and chat replies are written by artificial-intelligence models from your chart data. No human astrologer reviews them. AI output can be inaccurate, incomplete or inconsistent, and two readings of the same chart can differ.

4. Sensitive topics

TevaPatra does not predict death or lifespan for anyone (including stillbirth or pregnancy loss), the sex of a baby, or the outcome of lotteries, betting or other gambling. These questions receive a fixed reply and are not charged.

Questions about health, money and investments, pregnancy or fertility, career or legal matters receive a reading, marked as entertainment and self-reflection only and as not medical, financial, investment or legal advice. Readings about money and investments describe astrological themes and timing; they never recommend buying or selling a specific stock, cryptocurrency or other investment. Astrological predictions are very sensitive to the date, time and place of birth: even with careful birth-time rectification the exact moment of birth cannot be known, and a small change in birth time can change a prediction. For important decisions, consult a qualified professional.

Muhurat readings suggest astrologically auspicious times. Never delay or bring forward medical treatment, legal obligations or safety decisions because of a muhurat. Partner Matchmaking describes traditional astrological compatibility between two charts; it is not a verdict on a real relationship, and the same two charts can score differently across traditions. Do not make or end a relationship based on a score.

5. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to use TevaPatra. We may suspend or delete an account we reasonably believe belongs to someone under 18.

6. Your account

• An account is created on your device when you start. You can add an email address so you can recover it on another device.
• Keep your device and recovery links secure; you are responsible for activity on your account.
• Provide accurate birth details. Small differences in birth time — even of seconds — can change the chart and the reading, and no reading can be more certain than the birth time behind it.
• Birth Time Rectification estimates your birth time astrologically from the life events you share. It is an estimate, not a certified or verified correction of your birth record, and readings based on it carry the same uncertainty.
• Only enter another person's birth details (for example for a compatibility reading) if you have their permission. For a child, only a parent or legal guardian may enter their details.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Service unlawfully, or to harass, defame or harm anyone;
• create multiple accounts or automate access to obtain more free usage than allowed;
• scrape, copy, resell or redistribute the Service or its readings commercially;
• use the Service or its output to develop, train, evaluate or benchmark a competing product or service;
• present readings or other AI output as written by a human or as professional advice;
• reverse engineer the Service, attempt to bypass its limits or safety controls, or try to extract its prompts or models;
• probe, scan or test the Service for vulnerabilities, or interfere with its security or operation, without our written permission.

We may limit, suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

8. Purchases, readings and membership

• Prices are shown before you buy, with any applicable taxes shown at checkout. Website purchases are charged in US dollars or Indian rupees as shown at checkout; purchases in the app are charged in the currency Apple or Google shows you.
• Readings are one-time purchases. A reading counts as delivered once it has been generated and recorded on your account; you can reopen it from your reading list.
• Membership is a monthly subscription that renews automatically at the then-current price until you cancel. You can cancel at any time: on the website in Settings, or for App Store and Google Play purchases in your store subscription settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep membership benefits until then. We will tell you in advance before a price change applies to your membership.
• Free usage (such as a daily number of free questions) may change or end at any time.
• Website payments are processed by our payment processor; in-app purchases by Apple or Google. We never receive your full card number.

9. Refunds

• Readings are digital content delivered immediately, so purchases are final once delivered, except where the law requires otherwise.
• If you cannot see a reading you paid for, contact Support@tevapatra.com. Because every delivered reading is recorded on your account, we will first work with you to restore access to it. If we cannot, we will refund that reading.
• If a reading fails to generate because of a problem on our side, you will not be charged, or we will refund or credit it.
• Membership fees are not refunded for partial billing periods, except where the law requires.
• Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are refunded by Apple or Google under their own policies; we cannot issue those refunds ourselves.
• If you live in the EU, the UK or another country with a statutory withdrawal right for digital content, by buying a reading you ask us to deliver it immediately and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once delivery has begun.

10. Deleting your account

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. Deletion signs you out on every device and immediately cancels any website membership; unused time in the current period is not refunded. App Store and Google Play subscriptions must be cancelled in the store. Your data is permanently erased in our monthly deletion run on the 15th of each month, as described in the Privacy Policy. Deletion cannot be undone.

11. Intellectual property

The Service, its software, design and content belong to TEVAPATRA LLC or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the Service. You may share the readings created for you for personal, non-commercial purposes — for example with family or on your own social media — as long as you do not present them as professional advice or remove the disclaimers they carry. You may not sell readings, publish them commercially or include them in a product or service. You keep any rights you have in what you submit, and you grant us the licence needed to process it to provide the Service.

12. Disclaimer of warranties

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

13. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, TEVAPATRA LLC will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for decisions you make based on a reading. We are not liable for the acts or failures of third parties outside our control, including app stores and payment providers. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$50. These limits reflect the allocation of risk on which the Service is offered. Some jurisdictions do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you. Nothing in this section limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for any liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including statutory consumer rights.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Subject to section 15, disputes will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Wake County, North Carolina. If you live outside the United States, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country, and you may bring a claim in the courts of your country where those laws allow it.

15. Dispute resolution (United States)

• Talk to us first. Before starting a claim, email Support@tevapatra.com with your name, your account email (if any) and a description of the problem. We will try to resolve it informally within 30 days.
• Individual arbitration. If we cannot resolve it, any dispute will be decided by binding individual arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration may take place by video or in Wake County, North Carolina, and fees are allocated as those rules provide.
• Small claims. Either party may instead bring an individual claim in small-claims court.
• No class actions. Claims may only be brought individually, not as a plaintiff or class member in any class, collective or representative proceeding.
• Opting out. You may opt out of this section within 30 days of first accepting these Terms by emailing Support@tevapatra.com with the subject "Arbitration opt-out", your name and your account email.
• If the class-action waiver is found unenforceable for a claim, this section does not apply to that claim.

16. Suspension and termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these Terms or if we stop offering the Service. Sections 9 and 11 to 15 survive termination.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. For material changes we will notify you in the app or by email at least 15 days before they take effect. If you keep using the Service after that, the updated Terms apply.

18. Language

These Terms are written in English. Any translation is provided for convenience only, and the English version governs.

1. Information we collect

Birth details (required for readings)

• Date, time and place of birth, including coordinates and time zone
• The name you give a chart, and any other person's birth details you enter, for example for a compatibility reading

Account information

• Account identifier, language and app preferences
• An email address, if you add one to recover your account
• A device push token, if you turn on notifications in the mobile app

Conversations and readings

• Your messages, and the readings and replies generated for you

Purchases

• Purchase and subscription history, and identifiers from our payment processor, Apple or Google. We never receive your full card number.

Technical and security information

• IP address, device and browser information, and service logs
• Crash and error reports: the app version, device or browser type, and where in the app the error happened. They are configured to leave out your messages, birth details, email address and payment details.
• Account activity events (for example sign-in, purchase, deletion request or a declined sensitive question), used for security, fraud and abuse prevention, usage limits and aggregate product metrics

We do not use third-party advertising trackers, and we do not sell your personal data.

2. How we use it

• Calculate your birth chart and generate readings and chat replies with AI
• Translate replies into your chosen language
• Process payments and manage memberships
• Let you recover your account
• Keep the Service secure, enforce limits and prevent fraud and abuse
• Provide support and improve the Service using aggregate metrics
• Comply with legal obligations

3. Legal bases (EEA and UK)

We process your data to perform our contract with you (providing readings and purchases), with your consent (birth details you choose to provide, which you can withdraw by deleting your account), for our legitimate interests (security, abuse prevention and aggregate metrics), and to comply with the law.

4. Who we share it with

We share personal data only with service providers that process it on our behalf under contract, and only as needed to run the Service:

• Cloud hosting and AI: hosting, databases and storage in the United States or India, in the region that serves your account, and the AI models that write readings and translations. Our providers' terms do not allow them to use this data to train or improve their AI models without our permission. They may keep requests for a limited time to deliver the service and to detect abuse.
• Payments: a card payment processor for website payments, and Apple or Google Play for in-app purchases
• Security and website delivery: protection against abuse, sign-in security and rate limits
• Email and notifications: delivery of account-recovery emails and mobile push notifications
• Error reporting: crash and error reports, used to find and fix problems in the apps

When you search for your birthplace, only the place name you type is sent to a mapping service to find its coordinates. You can ask privacy@tevapatra.com for the current list of service providers.

We may also disclose data when required by law, to protect the rights and safety of users or the public, or as part of a merger or sale of our business, in which case this policy continues to apply.

5. Where your data is stored

Your data is stored and processed in the region that serves your account — the United States or India. A small directory record used to route your account to the right region, security logs and backups may be held in other locations, including the United States. Where the law requires safeguards for cross-border transfers, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses.

6. Security

• Data is encrypted in transit with TLS.
• Birth details are additionally encrypted in our database, with the encryption keys held separately from the database.
• All stored data is also encrypted at rest by our cloud provider.
• Access to production data is limited to authorised personnel.

No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you and regulators of a breach where the law requires.

7. How long we keep it

• While your account is active, we keep your data so you can return to your chart and readings.
• When you delete your account in Settings, we immediately sign you out on every device, remove your recovery email or phone number, push tokens and account lookup entries, and cancel any website membership. All remaining account data, including birth details, conversations, readings and purchase records, is permanently erased in our monthly deletion run on the 15th of each month (03:00 UTC). That is at most about one month after your request.
• Backups containing deleted data are overwritten within 30 days of erasure.
• Records we must keep: payment providers and our accounting records keep transaction records (amount, date and product, not your readings) for as long as tax and accounting laws require.
• Security logs are kept for up to 30 days.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, the California Consumer Privacy Act and other US state privacy laws, or India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act), you may have the right to access your data, correct it, delete it, receive a copy of it, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, appeal our decision, and nominate someone to act for you.

• Delete: in Settings, or by emailing privacy@tevapatra.com.
• Access, copy, correction and other requests: email privacy@tevapatra.com. We will verify that the request comes from the account holder and respond within 30 days, or sooner if your local law requires.
• We do not sell personal data or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, and we will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
• You may complain to your local data-protection authority, or in India to the Data Protection Board of India.

9. Children

TevaPatra is only for people aged 18 or over, and we do not allow children to hold accounts. A parent or legal guardian may enter a child's birth details for a reading; those details are processed under the adult's consent and deleted on the same terms as all account data. We do not knowingly collect data directly from children; if we learn that a child holds an account, we delete it.

• Birth details are encrypted in our database, with the keys held separately.
• All data is encrypted in transit and at rest.

Your control

• Delete your account and all its data in Settings. Deletion is permanent and runs on the 15th of each month.
• Email privacy@tevapatra.com to get a copy of your data, correct it, or ask any privacy question.

Legal basis

We process birth details with your consent and to provide the readings you ask for. Security and abuse-prevention data is processed under our legitimate interest in keeping the Service safe.

Entertainment and self-reflection only

TevaPatra is an entertainment and self-reflection service. Readings are interpretations of Vedic astrology, written by AI from astronomical calculations of your chart. They are not:

• medical, psychological or health advice;
• legal, financial, investment or tax advice;
• career, relationship or other professional counselling;
• statements of fact or guaranteed predictions.
