Vedic astrology — Jyotish — is one of the most precise symbolic systems ever built. A birth chart is not a vibe; it’s a computation. Planetary positions, house divisions, nakshatra padas, dasha timelines: all of it follows from astronomy and a rule-set refined over centuries.

And yet, for most people, a real reading is out of reach. The good practitioners are rare and expensive. The apps are mostly generic horoscope text with a Sanskrit label. And the tradition itself is written in a vocabulary — grahas, bhavas, vargas, antardashas — that shuts out exactly the people it could help.

What TevaPatra is

TevaPatra is your AI Vedic astrologer. You give it your birth details; it computes your actual chart — North and South Indian styles, planets, houses, retrogrades — and then lets you talk to it. Ask about your career this year, your relationships, the period you’re in. The answers are grounded in your computed chart and classical Jyotish rules, not invented on the fly.

Three things we care about:

• Computed, not guessed. Every reading starts from a real chart calculation — the same math a pandit would do, done in milliseconds.
• Timing you can see. Your Vimshottari dasha timeline and daily panchanga are built into the experience, so “why does this month feel heavy” gets a concrete answer.

Why now

Large language models are finally good enough to hold a real conversation about something as nuanced as a chart — if they’re anchored to real data. That’s the bet: classical computation underneath, honest conversation on top, and none of the vague “Mercury is in retrograde, buckle up” filler.
